GTA Online has a sharp sports car on offer, double goodies on select modes and missions

Buy Final Fantasy 15 PC off Origin and you’ll get the Sims-themed Llama Suit and Plumbob

The Sims 4 content will be included when purchasing Final Fantasy 15 Windows Edition on Origin. Square Enix announced today exclusive Sims 4 content would be handed to Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition players who buy the game from EA’s Origin service. The Sims 4 content in Final Fantasy 15 includes the Sims-themed Llama Suit and Plumbob for use by Noctis in the single-player campaign. These outfits can also be used by players in the Comrades multiplayer expansion. These bonuses will only be available for those who purchase the game through Origin by May 1, 2018. Starting on March 8, those who own The Sims 4 will be able to download a crowned prince Noctis Lucis Caelum outfit for their avatars. Overwatch patch with changes to Mei, Doomfist, and Sombra is live

The Overwatch patch which arrived on PTR earlier this month with loads of changes to Mei, Doomfist, and Sombra is now available on all platforms. Many of the changes in the Overwatch patch were previously outlined before landing on the PTR February 15. As previously reported, Mei’s weapon’s freeze duration has been increased; Doomfist’s hand cannon recovery rate was increased; and Sombra saw some major changes. The hero patch notes for today’s update are the same as those listed when the Overwatch PTR patch went live . Fortnite’s next weapon is the Hunting Rifle

A Hunting Rifle is coming to Fortnite. The new weapon is next on the list after the Hand Cannon , and is expected “soon” according to in-game screens. It might very well turn up this week with the arrival of Thursday’s update, which starts the second week of Season 3 Challenges. The Hunting Rifle comes off the back of a new pack of outfits for those with Twitch Prime, featuring Sub Commander and Havoc gear, as well as a new glider . Developer Epic Games has said that it could remove more weapons from Fortnite to make way for new ones , so be on the look out for balancing or nerfing of guns in the coming days. Overwatch 27th hero is Torbjörn’s daughter Brigitte Lindholm and a support character

The new Overwatch hero has been announced, after a week or so of teasing , and yes it’s one of Torbjörn’s daughters. Overwatch’s newest hero is Brigitte, and the new support character is available to try on PC via the Public Test Region. Brigitte Lindholm, according to her biography , is an engineer-adventurer previously based out of Gothenburg, Sweden. She is the youngest daughter of Torbjörn Lindholm, who spent most of her “spare time in her father’s workshop.” Unlike her father, she is more interested in armor creation instead of weapons. Instead of following in her father’s footsteps, Brigitte was inspired by Torbjörn’s fellow Overwatch comrade Reinhardt’s tales of adventure and decided to become his squire. After years of polishing Reinhardt’s armor and taking care of the battered, aging warrior, Brigitte now fights alongside him and the rest of Overwatch. Fortnite gets exclusive Twitch Prime pack: Havoc and Sub Commander outfits, glider, back bling and more

Twitch Prime members can grab themselves these free outfits for Fortnite Battle Royale and Save the World. There are two outfits on offer in the Twitch Prime Pack ; Sub Commander and Havoc. Co-op mining shooter Deep Rock Galactic hits Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview

Deep Rock Galactic has brought mouthy space dwarves to PC and Xbox One. Deep Rock Galactic is the first project from indie developer Ghost Ship Games. The game borrows elements from Left 4 Dead, Minecraft and other exploration games like Astroneer and adds co-op to the formula. Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op shooter where you occasionally have to survive against space bugs, and mine for resources in between rounds. The idea is pretty smart, and the game has now landed on Steam Early Access and Xbox One Game Preview. But that’s not all, Deep Rock Galactic also features four distinct classes. Each class brings one or two unique abilities only they can provide, and it sounds like you’re going to need all of them to survive. The game’s worlds are procedurally-generated, and the entire environment is destructible. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition includes all Fighter Packs, out in March

If you’ve been holding out on Injustice 2, maybe the Legendary Edition will sway you. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition was announced today and it’s out at the end of March. The upcoming version features all downloadable, playable characters from the three Fighter Packs. Fighter Pack 1 contained Red Hood , Sub-Zero and Starfire , while Fighter Pack 2 featured Black Manta, Hellboy and Raiden. Fighter Pack 3 brought with it The Atom, Enchantress, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , the latter was which was recently released. Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 7.6 million, celebrates first anniversary with goodies

Horizon Zero Dawn was released one year ago today, and has sold many, many copies. Guerrilla Games announced today Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide. This solidifies its title as the best-selling new first-party franchise launch on PlayStation 4 to-date. This status was reached when Horizon Zero Dawn sold 2.6 million units within its first two weeks of release. “We had huge ambition for Horizon Zero Dawn and as we approached the launch we knew people were excited, but to see sales of this volume is truly mind blowing,” said Guerrilla’s co-founder and managing director, Hermen Hulst. “Since launch, millions of players have joined Aloy on a quest to discover the secrets of the old ones. H1Z1 finally leaves Early Access with new vehicular battle royale mode

H1Z1 finally leaves Early Access today, complete with a new mode to help it stand out from the growing battle royale genre. Auto Royale mode allows 30 teams of four players to battle it out to be the last team standing, adding an exclusive weapon to the mode and two new vehicles. The Sedan and the Armored Recon Vehicle are new to the mode, as is the Light Machine Gun. Power ups for Auto Royale are split into Defensive, Evasive and combative. They include vehicle repair kits, environmental buffs, fire extinguishers, vehicle armor, smoke screens, fuel, turbo boosts, oil slicks, land mines and corrosive smoke. Although H1Z1 comes out of Early Access today, the Auto Royale mode will remain in beta “and will continue to develop with feedback from the community.” H1Z1 leaves Early Access Two years after it went into Early Access, H1Z1 also launches today with new improvements. Sci-fi, shared-world shooter Defiance is getting rebooted

Defiance 2050 is part remake, part overhaul of the original sci-fi shooter. Trion Worlds is working on bringing Defiance to PS4, and Xbox One by rebuilding the original game and overhauling many of its system. Defiance 2050, which is also coming to PC, is due for release this summer. Defiance 2050 not only brings the usual assortment of upgraded graphics, textures and resolutions, it’s also intended to modernise several of the game’s systems. Trion noted that the power of new consoles allows the game’s scale to expand. The original game, which you can still play on Steam, is a third-person shooter with co-op missions, MMO-style raids, loot and character progression. It’s a bit janky, but it had many interesting ideas when it came out. Now feels like a good time to bring back Defiance. After teasing a new game reveal earlier this week, Funcom has now officially unveiled Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is described as a tactical adventure game that blends the turn-based combat of XCOM with free-form, real-time exploration. The game is in development at The Bearded Ladies, a new outfit made up of former Hitman and Payday developers. Most notably, the team includes Ulf Andersson, original designer of Payday. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the remaining population mutated as a result of the nuclear weapons used in a world conflict. The pitch sounds interesting, and Bearded Ladies promises a “deep storyline” for Mutant Year Zero. You’ll not only see familiar XCOM-like combat, but the game also lets you decide when and where to engage thanks to a stealth system. Game devs setting up roundtable discussion on how to counter anti-loot box legislation at GDC 2018

As part of this year’s Game Developers Conference, one talk in particular is advocating against “burgeoning legislation around the world against loot boxes.” The roundtable discussion, called Censorship Strikes Back, is part of GDC 2018’s schedule , and will take place March 21. The talk is hosted by Daniel Greenberg, CEO of Media Rez and part of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA)’s Anti-Censorship and Social Issues Committee. In the talk, Greenberg hopes developers can come together to discuss how to protect their rights from “game censorship” in several topics, including legislation around loot boxes, the banning of Augmented Reality (AR) at certain locations, and the World Health Organization’s recent classification of “gaming disorder” as a mental health condition. Overwatch 27th hero teasers continue, this time with a shield

The next Overwatch hero may be running around with a hammer and a shield Blizzard has unlocked another chapter in the campaign for Overwatch’s 27th hero. The identity of the hero hasn’t been confirmed, but we’re betting she’s going to be Torbjörn’s daughter, Brigitte . There are a few things that lend credence to this line of thinking, but the two recent hints Blizzard dropped really suggest that’s the case. The upcoming hero will be using a hammer, which Blizzard shared a blueprint of earlier this week. The hammer already looks to be inspired by Torbjörn’s own, so there’s a good chance this is a melee hero. Today’s reveal is another weapon blueprint, this time for what looks to be a shield. The design is inspired by Reinhardt’s shield, which again confirms the other part of the relationship (Reinhardt being Brigitte’s godfather). Yakuza 6 demo removed from PSN after players used it to unlock full game

SEGA may have accidentally released the full version of Yakuza 6 as a demo. The demo for the upcoming Yakuza 6: The Song of Life went up on the PlayStation Store this week. It was full of content, for a demo, but it seems players got even more than they bargained for with that one. Sometime after going live, a few players discovered that you can play past the supposed end of the demo. The Yakuza 6 demo, which is a full game download, limits your access to a couple of the early chapters. This tactic isn’t new, and most games that have demos or trials today essentially get you access to the full download but put restrictions in place for obvious reasons. This makes it easy for your save file to carry over if you do buy it. In the case of Yakuza 6, it seems those few lucky players didn’t even have to do any weird tricks to get access to the rest of the game. In fact, some unlocked trophies as they continued to play. Rainbow Six Siege, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and why it’s time to embrace games-as-a-service

Like it or not, the games-as-a-service model is one that’s becoming far more apparent in games. Not a day goes by where news headlines aren’t at least somewhat dominated by mention of a loot box, microtransaction, or other ‘live service’ scandal that’s seemingly intent on keeping us hooked on our favourite games for longer. If games like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Rainbow Six Siege, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands prove anything however, it’s that these unannualised games intended to serve as a platform that can create more refined experiences for players. Especially when given the room to evolve and adapt rather than wiping the slate clean year after year. It’s clear that Ubisoft sees value in this approach, as evidenced by their recent earnings call to investors.
